There’s very rarely good news to shout about.
So, here’s some good news to shout about, and the whole point of the thing is to get good news and shout about it.
My colleagues and I at the Royal College of Nursing Mental Health Forum have launched Mental Health Nurses’ Day – an initiative to celebrate, describe and promote the role of mental health nurses in the UK.
More information is available at MHNursesDay.co.uk, or you can follow on Facebook and Twitter.
We’re announcing more details in late October, but the gist is we’re having a launch event in Edinburgh that will be live-streamed for as many colleagues to join as possible. Not a remote conference with the same talking heads, but a fresh focus of the great skills and talents of the tens of thousands of mental health nurses working across the UK in all kinds of settings making a real life-changing difference every day.
