Last Friday I reported a number of fly-tipped piles of waste, some domestic and some probably commercial. Yesterday, they were all cleared by the Council.



It’s really positive to get something done about the waste dumped on our streets, but it seems like a never-ending task. Just around the corner on Leyton Road, there was another pile of black bags:

Waste and fly-tipping has been a ward priority for Handsworth for years, and yet here we are – still failing at the most basic level.
Our community doesn’t have the resources to deal with the fly-tipping and filth. Yet we pay our Council Tax just like everyone else…
